Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden (On-site)
Our client is a leading Automotive company with a Global presence. They are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Sweden operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design technical solutions in the thermal management area based on given prerequisites (e.g., system design, installation requirements).
- Support and lead cooling routing and component installation in buses.
- Actively contribute to project delivery by integrating deliveries from others and ensuring quality and readiness before release.
- Ensure designs meet business targets and requirements.
- Participate in business development and innovation efforts.
- Develop and manage networking across the organization, providing inputs to project prerequisites based on component history.
- Apply advanced knowledge acquired through education and work experience at a senior level.
- Perform engineering steps in projects including: Design work using CATIA V5, Conduct packaging studies, Manage releases using KOLA and PDMLink, Engage in cross-functional anchoring
Requirements:
- Flexibility and openness in working with CAD and cross-functional teams
- Willingness to support workshop and production line activities, including assisting technicians with component replacements in buses or prototypes
- Advantageous if the candidate possesses:
- Experience with Volvo AB systems and development processes
- Proficiency in CATIA
- Knowledge in cooling systems, thermal management, and/or pipes and hoses
- Strong communication skills
