Service Engineer- Industrial Automation
Location: Denmark
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer with expertise in industrial automation to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering and hands-on experience in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for industrial automation systems and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Support: Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial automation systems and equipment.
- On-Site Service: Perform on-site visits to customer facilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues, conduct preventive maintenance, and optimize system performance.
- Remote Support: Provide remote technical support to customers via phone, email, or remote access tools, guiding them through troubleshooting steps and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal stakeholders on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial automation systems, ensuring proper usage and adherence to best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, work orders, and spare parts inventory, and provide regular updates to management and customers as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and service efficiency enhancements, and collaborate with internal teams to implement solutions and best practices.
- Product Feedback: Gather customer feedback and insights on product performance, reliability, and usability, and communicate feedback to the product development team to inform product improvements and enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
years of experience in a service engineering role, with a focus on industrial automation systems and equipment. - Strong knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) devices, robotics, and other industrial automation technologies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, reading technical drawings and schematics, and using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed and work flexible hours to accommodate customer needs.
- Certifications or training in relevant industrial automation technologies (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, etc.) is a plus.
